There are 2 mandatory training requirements for new REALTOR® members of the REALTOR® Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach, Inc. and the Florida Gulf Coast MLS.
All new members must complete:
- a New Member Code of Ethics/Orientation within 90 days of joining the Association AND
- an MLS Orientation within 60 days of joining the Association.
Both must be completed in order to market yourself as a REALTOR®.
You need to complete the following to satisfy the Orientation requirements:
- Attend a one day New Member Orientation session, which is offered monthly at the REALTOR® Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach, Inc. Education Center. This class includes the 3 hours of Code of Ethics education which satisfies the NAR quadrennial Code of Ethics requirements (It does not count towards continuing education CE);
- Attend a mandatory two hour MLS Orientation which is also offered monthly at our Education Center.
Note: If you are currently an active member of another REALTOR® Association or have held membership in the past 12 months with the REALTOR® Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach, Inc. and/or the Florida Gulf Coast MLS, and you have already attended a New Member Orientation course, then you may not need to attend the New Member Code of Ethics/Orientation course again.
You must submit proof of your New Member Orientation completion from your previous or current REALTOR® Association and you must be in compliance with the NAR Quadrennial Code of Ethics in order to bypass attendance at this training session. You may email documentation to firstname.lastname@example.org or via fax, 239-936-2836.
