There are 2 training requirements for new REALTOR® members of the REALTOR® Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach, Inc.
Both training courses must be completed within six months upon completion of the application.
All new members must complete a MLS Training course and a New Member Code of Ethics Orientation. Both must be completed within 3 months of submitting your application to the Association in order to use and market yourself as a REALTOR®.
You need the following to complete the Orientation requirements:
- Attend a one day Orientation session, which is offered monthly at the REALTOR® Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach, Inc. Education Center. This class includes the 3 hours of Code of Ethics education which satisfies the NAR quadrennial Code of Ethics requirements (It does not count towards continuing education CE); attend a required MLS 1 Training class within 60 days of joining, which is given the first Friday of every month.
If you are currently a member of another REALTOR® Association or have held membership in the past with the REALTOR® Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach, Inc. and you have already attended a new member orientation course, then you do not need to attend the New Member Code of Ethics Orientation course again nor the MLS 1 Training. You must submit proof of your New Member Orientation completion from your previous or current REALTOR® Association in order to bypass attendance at either of these training sessions. You may email proof to firstname.lastname@example.org or via fax, 239-936-2836.
