Voter Registration

It’s Not Too Late to Register to Vote in the August 14th Primary Election

Every vote counts!  It’s not too late to register for the August 14th Primary.  However, all Florida residents must be registered no later than July 16.  Remember, several primary elections are non-partisan, others are open so all political parties have many candidates to vote for this August.

It’s very easy to register to vote in Florida…just print out an application from this web site:  http://election.dos.state.fl.us/pdf/webappform.pdf  …and follow the instructions.

If you are already registered to vote, it’s not too early to request an absentee ballot so that you do not have to vote in person on Election Day.  To request an absentee ballot, call 239-533-6919.  Ballots will be mailed approximately 3 weeks prior to the election.  Early voting also makes it easy.  Several locations will open for early voting, we will let members know locations and dates next week.

The REALTOR® Action Center will now link you to the voter registration form for your state. When registering to vote, you need to provide some personal information, including name, address and identification. This information is required by your state government as part of the registration process. Any personal information or other unique identifiers required by law for voter registration that are submitted in the process of registering to vote are used to produce the voter registration form to send to your local or state election officials and for the sole use of the National Association of REALTORS®. Any detailed information beyond your name and address (such as a state identification number or social security number) is NOT retained or stored.
